We decide to put octane in our pipeline of production for product presentation, packshot and interior scene (in no closed room).
For the moment, one computer with a quadro 4000 (waiting a better support for the kepler card).
So if we put another one the render speed is 125, 150, 200% quickier ?
Thanks in advance for your feedback

They scale perfectly, so it would be double, but the Quadro has horrible performance in Octane. Get some 590's or 580's (best cards for Octane). The Kepler cards may never get better than the Fermi cards.

I believe they are made for video games. They may (most likely) get better with future releases of Octane, especially when CUDA 5.0 comes out (this is based on what the Octane team has said). But they never stated that they will be equal, or better than the Fermi cards.
One plus for the Kepler is the RAM. So if you are worried about RAM and the 580 with 3 gigs isn't enough, Kepler may be an option. Also, the 590 has 3... but its split between 2 cards, so it actually only has 1.5 where Octane is concerned.

But for speed, in my opinion (and many others on the forum), stick with the Fermi cards.

Not sure when its gonna come out, or how long after that the Octane team will be able to utilize it for Kepler.

Making some tests between octane and arion 1.6. The quadro is damm fast in comparison of Octane. A core problem in octane ?
