Thomas fell in love with computer graphics while at university and has since gained an extensive understanding of ray tracers. His knowledge and his enthusiasm in this arena has landed him a perfect place in our team.

According to Thomas: "Building an advanced ray tracer for my master thesis was one of the most satisfying projects I ever did and I hope to find the same satisfaction again while working on Octane. Coding ray tracers is simply a thrill, you get so sucked into it that you forget all about time and space. When that happens you know you have found your passion."

We are happy to have Thomas in our camp. So here's to acquaint him with everyone here, let's give Stratified a great start in our community.

A big welcome, Thomas Loockx a.k.a Stratified!

hi everyone, Stratified hails from Belgium and has traveled a long way to be with us. Things are really getting more interesting as we push forward with our instancing build. So after a few days of orientation, he'll finally start work on Octane alongside our current veterans!

How many developers are currently working on Octane now? It seems that since Otoy took over, the development team has increased by quite a bit :) Its very interesting times ahead for sure!
