Hi,

I've gone through the octane options and the documentation, but I can't find any clear information about rendering in 16 or 32 bits in maya.

I can't choose .exr (even if only for a simple RGBA output) from the maya common tab.
1. Can anybody explain what are my options for a 16 or 32 bit workflow?
2. How do I set the bit depth for Octane?
3. Does the IPR preview for Octane matches the bit depth of the batch renderer?

Ahh so after some explanations in other topics and in the um um manual...

1. Choose Tiff16, iff16 or other "16" format in the common render tab
2. It'll output a 32 bit single-channel exr
3. yes, from what I understand, you see the 8 bit image in the IPR and the 32 bit output file matches the gamma of the preview.
