linux 12.04 and cuda 4.0

hi ettore, the free demo version is based on commercial beta v2.57. installation is the same but you'd need cuda 4.0 and cuda toolkit 4.0 installed for it to work on your linux machine

haven't used ubuntu, I guess there's no shortcut to install cuda on the new ubuntu release. have you tried this link yet? http://sn0v.wordpress.com/2012/05/11/in ... ntu-12-04/

There is no 4.0 Ubuntu/Debian package, nvidia removed cuda toolkit 4.0 download links and moved all of the old pages. You must contact with nvidia to request a link here: [email protected]

All RS/Otoy links to cuda toolkit is going nowhere :/

Thanks for the link Aenima.
The move must be related to that attack on the their forum last July 2012. On July 12 2012, NVIDIA had to suspend operations of the NVIDIA Forums :(.

Is anyone have a generic 64bit linux installer of cuda toolkit 4?

I requested from nvidia more than a week ago. I cant use octane.

Same problem with my ubuntu 12.04.....installed latest nvidia drivers,(295)imstalled 4.2 cuda, toolkit but octane demo not starting...i see only the
Splash screen for a second....

Thank yo very much....installed nvidia driver 295,now i'm downloading cuda 4.0.....i try to install cuda this afternoon...

YES!!!! Octane works great!!!!

Started octane,in the preference window i see my two 470 cards,but one card have the "run time limit" to "NO" and the other one to "YES"....
what it mean?
