Is there any Octane setting (or combination of default materials) that perhaps I've missed that will render out a basic wireframe on AO? I'm not as schooled with the inner workings of the Octane as I probably should be yet, so I'm hoping I just missed something.
As part of a demo-reel segment, I have a large scene that I'd like to fade in with the wireframe version. I know that typically, wireframes are done in the the 3D editor but I'd like to keep the octane/wireframe transition as seamless as possible. Camera angles/FOV between maya/octane never seem to quite match up.
I suspect the unfortunate answer to this is probably to simply make texture files out of the UV maps and apply them to the Octane scene.. But that's a tall order for the scene I'm in. If I can get away not doing that, I'm hoping there's an alternative....
Wireframe renders..

you didn't mention which modelling software you use..
for 3dmax I would use the lattice modifier .. which turns every model into a atom like lattice, just make the ball part of the lattice 0, and you remain with the wireframe, it does add to polycount..but it works pretty much nice for quick wireframing, besides the render wireframe setting..

there's no direct way of doing this... I would go the texture way, do a per face style mapping, where each poly occupies all uv space, and you can use the same texture (a square canvas with an outline) for all your scene if you want to (ideally all geometry should be quads)... meaning there's no need to unwrap everything, render a wireframe from those uvs, assign dozens of materials etc.

First off I appreciate the replies.. Thanks!
I know how to do it about 3 different ways within Maya.. That wasn't really what I was inquiring about.
I was more interested if there were any methods of doing in within Octane. I was afraid not, but figured I'd ask. I have about 20 seconds of mid animation wireframe transition that I want to add. Rather than matching camera for camera and look for look, figured it would be easier and look more fluid to do both renders within Octane.
No big deal really. There can't be a shortcut for everything..
Thanks again for the response.
