What is the deal with Brigade?

It looks much faster then what I think of in Octane...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pN7PO0jJRvg

And that is rendered on 2 GTX 580 GPUs

Holy Cow...!

How do I get to render that fast, what do I need to do?

I seems that I would need to pay $99 to read the link...?

I just might be happy to pay the $99 for octane if it includes Brigade. However I have no way of seeing if this is the case?

oops! sorry you can't access there yet. Anyway, it is a small description... here is a quote from there:
Goldorak wrote:Look at the very top of this web page - next to the Octane Render tab. Brigade is a real time path tracing technology focused on games (whereas Octane is focused on final render quality for artists). As both Brigade and Octane evolve at OTOY, there will be cross pollination these technologies in future versions. Ray Tracey works very closely with both teams.
Cheers!

Well then I'm wanting to buy in but I'm a Softimage guy... can I buy Octane for Softimage? I don't want to get stand alone that have to make another purchase to get the Softimage integration...

I know it's not listed yet but I can pay now... and perhaps get the Beta version?

octane for xsi plugin is still being developed and it will probably take a few weeks more. in the meantime, you can already evaluate octane standalone using the free demo. also please note that the integrated plugin editions will still require a licensed standalone version installed on the same machine. there will be a combo package (standalone and plugin) on our online shop when it is ready.
