Hey guys,
Just thought you would all find this interesting if you're into motion graphics work at all...

Element 3D from Video Copilot for Motion Graphics artists
Yeah... Element 3D will change the way we work with 3D and AE. Very very exciting, seems to be a great timesaver for lots of 3D motion graphic work...
and a whole bunch of new possibilies in after effects.
That is very great news and lots of 3D elements will be moved over to AE not only to comp them there, but to texture, animate and comp in one step!
No real raytracer, like the new AE raytracer in CS6, but very fast and with lots of possibilites.
And the rendering seems to be very fast... he used a GTX580 with 1.5GB. Hopefully it supports multiple GPUs
.
It comes just intime for an actual job.

I'm not so sure if this will change anything. Element is very limitated and a typical videocopilot product. Just wait for 2 months and youtube
will be full of crappy animations. And everyone will look the same so i prefer definetly the good old 3D application.

The package looks nice but not sure that much is really new. The RedGiant - trapcode suite has a much better particle based system that has been around for years.
They also have a 3d ae plugin that will be realsed soon and given ther long history I would wait to see what it can do before any purchase.

I like the idea of competition to bring up the quality and bring down the price, whatever pkg is better.
