Yes please update for C4D 2024.

I updated today and it's interesting where it's going. Redshift is the default renderer now, and I wasn't able to install previous version of Octane.

I would like to update my Octane now. Thanks.

I still don't understand why Otoy hasn't been in touch with the Maxon team.
They should get the file for the next release so they can update on the same day, just like Greyscalegorilla does. I hope we don't have to wait for three weeks

How did you know that? We are in the Maxon 3rd party dev group and also in touch everytime.
They released it recently and you are asking to us update it immediately. They did a big change on their SDK's functions and it caused a lot of problems here. I was working on to adapt the plugin since weeks.
And finally I have a working build since yesterday. I'm not sure about stability because of complete code revisions. Also they have RS in-house so they can apply anything before every 3rd parties.

Octane is from Otoy not Maxon. The same situation have Vray, Arnold. Redshift is Maxon's main renderer from year. It will be more and more tightly integrated and advertised.

Most of the plugins doesn't work again after 2024 update.

Thanks for the explanation! I'm always feeling same situation on every revisions. This revision was the one of most of tough, took the weeks to eliminate thousands problems to have a working version.

Can you add also two additional PBR tags for transmission and opacity textures ? They are common for plants materials.
