Next SDK must have run into problems. Jules said on the Octane Render Facebook page that 3.08 would be stable "next week" like over 3 weeks ago. Are we going to skip to 3.09 and AI denoiser then? I have no problem with that, would just like to know what's going on so I can plan ahead.aoktar wrote:I'm waiting next sdk, development never stops.aggiechase37 wrote: Are we waiting? Or developing? C'mon guys, I think us paying customers are getting a little antsy.

Just a friendly advice: Never ever plan anything based on any software or hardware company promises. EVER. Clients hire you, not your software, not your computer. You have to stay ahead of anything that might come up. You must have all the answers to all the problems that didn't even happen yet. You are responsible. Not the software company. Not the hardware company. Otherwise, one day, you'll find yourself making mistakes for a living instead of quality work.
@ others
Software and hardware comes and goes, we are what remains. Developers are humans too. They also have problems, like us. They also work hard like us. They also need to sleep (sometimes) like us. So lets give them a chance to finish and test their work properly. Let's give them a chance to FINISH the work for once without rushing anything.
I'm sick of unfinished parts of the plugin because you guys were begging for some kind of release AS SOON AS POSSIBLE FOR NO REASON AT ALL.
The world is not gonna end without it.
Regards
Milan

Hello Aoktar, I'm here to report that the Octane Plugin interface doesn't work with a Wacom Tablet more specifically the node editor and the whole row in the Octane window where the "sent scene" button is located I click on it with the pen but it doesn't work, I know you don't have a Wacom but if you can at least look into this problem I'll really happy, I'm using both r18 and r19 on windows 10 and both exhibit the problem the tablet that I'm using it's Intous Pro M with the lastest drivers.
I need to clarify that the whole C4D interface works as expected but believe it or not the Octane plugin's interface doesn't recognize the clicks so I find myself switching to mouse and coming back, I work in the computer for long hours and besides giving me smooth control using a pen have helped me ease the strain in my hand so this is really important for me.

I can understand that node editor can't recognise pen clicks but no sense for icons on top of octane windows. Because they are processed by C4D api.Terryvfx wrote:Hello Aoktar, I'm here to report that the Octane Plugin interface doesn't work with a Wacom Tablet more specifically the node editor and the whole row in the Octane window where the "sent scene" button is located I click on it with the pen but it doesn't work, I know you don't have a Wacom but if you can at least look into this problem I'll really happy, I'm using both r18 and r19 on windows 10 and both exhibit the problem the tablet that I'm using it's Intous Pro M with the lastest drivers.

Actually you are right, I just tested the interface again the Octane windows is working fine... I had been working with a very heavy scene lately as well as using old drivers and old settings and I thing something along those lines was messing up the feedback I swear I'm not crazy it wasn't really working haha but now that I'm out of that and I updated some stuff it's working... Weird, but yeah about the node editor if you can make it work with a pen I'll really appreciate it and thanks for the quick response.

I think you completely nail it, I always hear my friend ranting about Octane and people on Facebook and it's like they don't get that software development takes time, one could spend 3 months working on a silly animation but if a dev spend 2 months without a word suddenly they haven't been working at all.

@Terryvfx
That's a perfectly normal behavior, it's just a shame that even decent and talented people fall for that.
It's beautifully explained here:

+1 wacom should behave like mouse as in 3.07 which has no issues at all.Terryvfx wrote: Weird, but yeah about the node editor if you can make it work with a pen I'll really appreciate it and thanks for the quick response.
