Hi Ramones163,
After the first render using denoise, you can select Denoise beauty layer while you make render, it will work like the beauty layer.

Hi, Paride. In SA when using denoising, the beauty layer is always un-denoised even after fisrt denoise. So we can switch noise/denoised to see difference. Or I miss something ?

is there any way to make hairs render better with denoising feature? it's very blurry...
i7 3770K, 12GB RAM, ASUS STRIX GTX 780 - 6GB OC Edition + ASUS GTX 780 Ti - 3GB, win 7 ultimate 64bit

Hi What are min denoiser samples and min denoiser intervals?
Does min denoiser samples mean let it render so many samples before denoiser kicks in?

And what is denoise on completion? is it alternative to interval denoising or they work together ?


What would you recommend a minimum amount of samples to render before activating denoiser 1000? 2000? My goal is no loss of details or blurry images.

NETWORK RENDERING ERROR

What does all this mean ? Trying to network render with two other machines using the DAEMON.

Yes that fixed number 1) issue. I did not know you had moved this option away from the main area. So that is good.

For the UVW map crash....... yes it ONLY happens with this one modifier as best as I have found. It crashes completely, whether it is a brand new scene with just one object, or a really complex scene. Makes no difference.

Hi richardyarlett,
For 1), nice to see that it solved the problem.

For the crash, as we can't reproduce it, I guess it's not from Octane .. It seems to happen while editing your object (delete / re add this modifier) , and hopefully not while loading a scene containing this modifer .. so a work around is to save your scene on each step, and avoid delete / add once your material are set..

Note: the network rendering is currently disabled for V4, it's still a work in progress.. XB is eXperimental build, not all features are supposed to be implemented ..
