NOTE: you also need to disable "fake shadows" on specular materials.
- aha, that's the main secret! Yes, the render become is much cleaner, but not faster - on the contrary, three minutes longer. Well, let's hope the full version brings us improvements in terms of the GI as well.

I've been eager to try out the caustics.. Maybe this scene is heavier.. Not sure, but with fake shadows enabled (I'm not NOT going to do a fake shadows example for PT because that's ultimately the target to beat in speed and quality) anyway, 0:26 seconds for these lofty builds, with Photon Tracer Much cleaner caustics much longer render and much noisier..
Does the Photon kernel support Denoise because it didn't work for me. I also ran the test ORBX files posted to this and they looked great at first then when switching from Photon to PT or PMC and then back they turned the caustics into a large blur on the revisit to Photon Tracer. Couldn't debug it unless I closed and opened the orbx back up.. Anyway.

Test NO.2
So this shows MUCH better control for caustics and only 0:33 sec to render BUT comparative to the 0:09 PT it's pick your poison, the Fake Shadows still looks pretty decent.
I'm also going to assume OTOY has ramped up PT's output over the last few versions too so it's pushing one kernel but also an improvement on the other simultaneously. PT still looks very good. BUT in no world could I get the nice little star caustics from PT and I don't even bother with PMC honestly. Anyway, here are the PT no Fake Shadows, PT fake shadows, and the PH Photon Tracer no fake shadows - caustics enabled.

All 800 samples - 3090

I'd be locked into the Photon tracer for a lot of things If Denoise is on the agenda?

I'd make a darker floor to test caustics :D

is there any way to select a GPU in the Brigade demo?
Apparently the demo always uses the first GPU, which in my case is not an RTX

In my case it seems I got my 3x3060 working.

Question. of "current" expectations... i'm running brigadebench and did the 1280x720 just fine. but ONLY at 10fps.. is that normal for say a 2070 super? also... the 1080 version just crashes with an error over and over with various addresses is this a GPU Ram issue mabye?

Photon Tracing will support denoising in future builds.

Is it possible to make it so that in the future Photo Tracer would automatically perceive Specular material as material without fake shadows?

General Brigade benchmark question: is it multi-gpu? I am running 3x3060, and all seem to be working. However there are some people reporting to have only its main gpu working.
I just wanted to be sure if that is the case. The more GPU the better.
