Hi,
I'm getting out of memory message during animation renderings. Rendering works fine for several hours and then stops randomly with "out of memory" error.
Scene Total poly count is less than 3 Million, no particles, very few and low-res textures.
How can I determine / diagnose the cause of the problem.
Thanks.

Hi 3devi,
please install Octane for 3dsMax 4.05 - 6.27 and run your test.
Eventually then try to render by disabling the denoiser please.

Once the scene reaches the GB limit of the video card, nothing else works...
"Render failure in normal rendering: GPU Failudre"
Are you guys checking that problem? I think you should stop advertising that Octane supports Out of Core

Hi samsue,
Beppe and me are testing this out-of-core issue. It occurs in SA too, sometimes out-of-core seems to go wrong.
Could you kindly share your issued scene (in pm) textures included, please, we suspect this crashes depend on something around the textures.

Thanks

I’m also getting out of core memory issues with 2019.1.5 -8.19 If I restart 3ds max, it sometimes work again. If I turn off denoising it does work. Sometimes it works and sometimes it does not work with denoising. Denoising seems to cause me issues.
Also, does octane preprocess my textures to use optimally in memory? For example, if I use an 8k texture for a car, but the car only takes up 10 pixels on my screen, will octane use a much smaller version of that texture in vram memory? Thanks.

Menoise needs VRAM to work.
my advice is to enable the Out of core option in Kernel panel in according with the RAM available and set GPU head room max to 512mb.
