Sorry to add to your woes and to-do list, but .. with latest version of Daz Studio (4.12.1.117) the OcDS plugin (Version 4.0.0.41) is not allowing Daz Studio to close. If I manually disable the plug-in, DS closes fine, but with it enabled it drops back to being a background task, consuming 0% CPU.

Out of curiosity, now updates for Octane 4 have, effectively, ceased, what happens when Daz release an updated Daz Studio with a revised SDK and plug-ins cease to work (unless/until re-compiled and/or any work required to conform to anything new)? In this case I would probably release an Octane 4 ...

That suggests keeping, if at all possible, a 'down-level' version of Daz Studio.

Thank you, I just found the link when I had a look at the announcement of the latest 4.02 release. Very similar page layout to the one I screenshotted above! Issue now resolved I am glad to say.

What you see is what I got. No other red buttons than the ones in the screen shot. It used to work, so I am not sure if I have already done that, some time in the past (around last October when I downloaded V4 of the standalone and plugin for the first time.

Started Daz Studio up a bit earlier and got presented with a message saying my current version was no longer supported and I needed to upgrade (I was using 4.00.XB3. I thus happily downloaded the latest stable ...

A bit more investiagtion shows that the fault is at my end, a new wi-fi router seems to be blocking contact to that (account.otoy.com) network:
