Thank you, found it and the problem was that OctaneServer was unable to find liboctane_demo.

OctaneRender demo on linux

Hello, I'am trying to run demo on Linux. I downloaded "Octane Render for Blender (Linux)". I can successfully run it and enable Octane plugin. But render does not work, I probably need render server. But there is only Render Server for Win on demo download page (https://home.otoy.com/render/octane ...

You are right. I was unable to get Indigo price, because their web was down (or unreachable for me) and I don't have it stored in my brain.

So my possible workflow with Octane can be that I prepare all my scenes, wait 30 min and render them all in one session on remote machine.

Perhaps can Octane team consider to make available license with one full and one "slave" node? For example license to Indigo renderer works with one main and ...

But with switching I must wait a hour (or half) before I can start final render on remote machine, true? And doesn't it mean, that I must pay one extra hour on remote machine when I'am switching license to it?
