Thanks all, I think that my system was having issues with the 3.2 toolkit.
I installed the 3.0 version and it's all working now.

I have been trying to test the dem version on my Powerbook running 10.6.6 and using a NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT.
I installed the cuda 3.0.14 developer driver, but when I launch Octane I get the message:

"Octane Render 1.022 beta 2.2 cannot be opened..."
"Check with the vendor..."
