Gradient Maps create the following console error which we've found can trip up renders sent to Deadline.

Further on to some of the colour discussions on the previous page, Octane in Solaris is still not correctly managing the colour primaries. Below is the same ACEScg image, correctly tagged, in Nuke, Octane 'standard' (sops/mat/out), Karma in Solaris and Octane in Solaris. All viewed with ACES 1.0 ...

Hey BK - Indeed I think that might have just been a bug. On a fresh scene it will produce an image now with the default Octane_raster to the path set on the Output tab. It seems that we can now get viewport AOVs with regular raster (was that the original limitation/reason? I can't quite remember :D ...

Displacements are by far Octanes most obvious weakness. The implementation of them is terrible, and lag behind even ancient renderers like Modos. Like already stated above, vertex displacements just aren't an option for 99% of people interested in speed and efficiency.

Can I please sanity check something with the default behaviour now in H21 with Octane 2025.

When you add an Octane node it will now automatically add a USD Render LOP to the chain, but if you hit render to disk it won't actually make a file on disk? It will also create a Husk process that won't ...

I'm curious if many people are working with volumes in Solaris Octane 2025? I have some very repeatable crashes when switching from Octane rendering back to OpenGL. I've rolled back to 2024 for now which doesn't exhibit this issue. It stops rendering and snaps straight back to OpenGL as you'd expect.

Is it possible to start wrapping up these version zips a different way? You have nested folders within folders within folders that far too easily hit Windows character limit if you're extracting in-place. Does every version archive need to contain itself? Can it not just contain the contents?
