Again, we all thank you for this. It must be infuriating not having any comms with the owners of Lightwave and yet you still manage to keep Octane for LW up and running.

Interesting ... the subframe setting in the LW Camera is not used by Octane at all, but they can be taken into account by the Layout while processing each time sample for the plugin, so yes, it is possible that this could make the scene updating really slow on the LightWave side, even if all these ...

Hi,

I know this is an old thread, but I ran into the same problem today. I think I have found the issue.

If you have a large number of subframes in the LW Camera settings and you have MB turned on in the Octane Render Target, the WAITING sign appears. If you set the Subframes to 1, no WAITING ...

Hello again.

Multi threading extraction results in F9 or F10 complete freeze - It loads the preview window and then nothing, you have to kill Layout and reload. IPR still works.

I did manage to get it to work with just a fresh scene and using Modeler tools within Layout to make a simple cube. But ...

Hi All, i confirm that i get crash of lightwave with this latest version of plugin. Crash when multi thread extraction is enable with instances. if i disable multithread extraction , render IPR run correctly !
This on this old scene as exemple ( with lw plugin 2020.2.3.1 i have no problem )

Whenever I have crash issues with instancing and a specific object, I always go back to that object and check for crap geo, single points left over or overlapping geo from an unintentional copy and paste. This is even more so with purchased or converted assets.

Dont know if this is the case with ...

Yep - it only works on objects that have a UV map. Cheers for the assistance.
