Re: OctaneRender® for 3ds max® v4.04 - 6.17
And adding to that. If I isolate an object with the live viewer open, and then bring back the whole scene - it still only renders the previously isolated object. Again, the only solution for me when Octane is in that mood - is to restart Max. Crazy...

Re: OctaneRender® for 3ds max® v4.04 - 6.17
In my setup 3ds Max 2019, win7 X64, a very problematic bug seems to have sneeked into this build. The live viewer has become unreliable and doesn't always update properly. For instance - I just had an object set to non-renderable in the Max properties, and set to movable proxy in the Octane ...

Re: OctaneRender® for 3ds max® v3.08.3 - 5.15
I just installed 3ds Max 2019. And when downloading & installing the latest build of the Max plugin for Octane, it just flushes through the installation without any window showing up to give me the option to include the new plugin directory of Max 2019. So When I start Max 2019 there is no trace of ...

Re: v4 and v3 running parallel?
Thanks, I realize that, but what I'm trying to understand is if you have to reinstall v3 if you wish to revert back to that version, or is it simply a matter of renaming a dll-file or two?

v4 and v3 running parallel?
I wonder - is it possible to install the new experimental v4 of Octane and the v4 max plugin, and then being able to swith between v4 and v3? Or is the very installation of V4 a point of no return in respect to v3? Would be nice to try out the new features in v4, but not if it means that v3 gets ...

Re: Max plugin for Octane 4
I quite agree. If you are building a scene you tend to render your way through the entire process of trying out composition, light, materials etc. Can't see myself going back and forth between Octane Standalone and 3ds Max.

Re: Question Regarding Octane's Map types
Is there any other way to relink missing bitmaps in 3ds max for Octane?? If not I would suggest the devs dive in and help Colin fix an Octane implementation for his script. Sad to see Octane distinguishing itself negativeley from all other renderers.

Re: OctaneRender® for 3ds max® v3.08 RC2 - 5.03 [TEST]
Am I missing something fundamental here? With 3.08 RC2 - 5.03 no rendering is possible at all. If I look under GPU devices, none are present. There is nothing to configure...

Re: whale city VII
Fantastic mood! But yes, some of those wood textures would benefit from being rotated.
