All settings is standard.

There is more issues:

- welding is visible always in render, even if it hidden.
- its impossible to attach materials to some parts in assemblies. They rendering as white and don't ...

This is definitely materials problem. Part materials was reassigned to green in test assembly. When I have changed it to original part colour, problem is disappeared.

How are you setting the Inventor element to "Invisible" pls?
As always, RMB on model -> Visibslity. Checked it on many assemblies, it doesn't work for Octane.

I suggest rotating the IBL image, or rotating the actual Inventor element being rendered.

I didn't made any special ground geometry for rendering and I supposed that this is main problem.
What geometry you have used in sample video with "fork-brace.ipt" for this purposes?

P.S. IBL and Daylight gave the same resoult. Changing the value of rayepsilon only gave more sharpen shadows.
