what skinning method are you using in poser? traditional?

it's cruel to sandwich cards together like that. what about some PCI-E riser cables so you can spread them out and get some air flow between them?

i'm trying to get "OctaneRender for 3ds Max® (v1.20 only) Student License".
get to the part where it gives me an invoice#, clicking continue the screen flickers but nothing happens.
using firefox as my browser.

your right, it is fireflies. the render was in direct sunlight and had a lot of glass and reflective materials.
i like your project. giving everyone the same scene and looking for solutions together. bravo!

didn't save the image. it was 1000x667 pixels. let it run for 16000 samples.
had a lot of multicolored pixels in it. like render noise. i'll render another, and post an image.

thanks for the reply. i tried what you suggested. i set up a complex scene with a few figures and some glass items. opened the log and started pushing my cards clock. the log showed no errors but my rendering had artifacts in it. i'm going to try rending pictures twice to see if the image produced ...

i have a student license so i'm posting this here.
is there an octane based stress test to determine weather a graphics card is corrupting computations?
you know if a card is old and failing, or for factory/user overclocked cards such as superclocked/FTW?
i picture something that can be looped ...
