Hello everyone,
i got my license yesterday and did my first try today.

Im allready in love with Octane

Renderd about 20 mins with Pathtracing on my GTX 590.
A bit of retouching done in Photoshop.

The model is from NFSU2, so its a game model and not that highpoly.

BTW: Sorry for my english, im from Austria :D

C&C very welcome.

Cool! there's something that's very distracting, did you reduce the image? I can see faulty banding everywhere. edit: fixed the banding, good job, YW

Happy that you like it =)

I think it uses all cores but im not sure.
I tested with 1 chip active and 2 chips active and there is a significant differnce, so i think it uses all.

Have you tested the benchmark scene with this card, I am wondering what results you get. :)

At the downloads page download the sample scenes suite and in octane open the octane benchmark scene. Before you render make sure your render kernel is pathtracing and the number of samples is set the 4000. Also take a look at the video for the link below and make you have the same parameters for material, camera response etc. It should be fine though.Once done you can now render your scene.

Note down how many megasamples a second while rendering and then also take a screenshot after it's rendered to see how long it took to render too 4000 samples.

Upload your screenshot and post here to this link with any statistics and hardware specs (optional) for your system.

Thanks for your advice to the benchmark, will give it a try today.

I just posted about Octane on my Blog, http://www.skins4u.net/?p=737

Hope its ok that i used the text from the site here, it just explains perfectly what Octane is.

BTW: Is it ok if i make some sort of Impact Designs Render Thread here oder should i make a new thread for every project?

If you rename this thread to "designs from me" or something else, it should be ok ;)
