Hey guys,
I am using Octane with C4d. I was wondering in the final stages when I press Render, should i just have "Octane Renderer" enabled to move forward with the rendering or should i also add "Global Illumination" and "Ambient Occlusion" as well like i would on a C4D scene without Octane?
On the Live viewer, the result seems a lot richer, grainier and more realistic than after i render it completely on C4D. attaching references. I want to get a result that's closer to "Live Viewer" than the final C4D render... any advice?
Thanks
Should i use GI while rendering on Octane
Never use anything from C4D's post effects as AO or GI. Octane does it internally.

Okay thank you.
And how can i make the final render look exactly as it does on Live Viewer? (with grains, more contrasty colors and etc.)?
Attached the references earlier of how final render looks vs. on live viewer..
Thanks

Be sure you don't activate "kernel overwrite" and render passes(with linear buffer type).
Otherwise with default case of render settings it should give same results. Try to remember what you changed on settings.
