hello people, in this picture i used a cloner to create the stairs however as you can see the texture pattern is repeating it looks really bad. what is the solutions around this? should i use the random color? i know this might be a stupid question but i haven't really spend time on octane. cheers

Hi dhhmzZx,
what kind of texture are you using?
Could you post a screenshot of the texture?
If the texture is not seamless, you can use Gimp or PS to remove the tiling effect, or you can switch to an octane procedural noise to completely avoid the tiling effect.

hi @bepeg4d, thanks for the reply really appreciate it. this project is about a year old i cant post the texture picture. my question is what if i want a certain surface imperfections scratches etc (image based) and add them to cloner, how can i make them with different patterns? for example, look at the wear on these (picture by josef bsharah) each yellow thing got it own pattern. thank you.

you can use world-space projection for procedurals if objects are static.
