"That's because we tailored the skin shader to work with caucasian skin - you can easily fix this by increasing the "Scale" value in the "Medium" to a higher number - say 500-600 should do the trick for most dark skinned characters."
Could someone point me to where this setting actually is in the materials tree? Scale value in medium isn't showing up in where I'm looking.. Trying to get the red glow out of dark skinned models.. At a loss here.
Thanks

Sorry for the delay in replying - was a busy week.
I attached a screenshot.
Was unaware that the medium "scale" was meanwhile renamed to "density" hence the confusion - sorry about that!
Let me know it this helped you.
Happy Rendering

Ahh and there we go! Many thanks.. It also works for reducing the red hands, nose and other nibbly bits from glowing red on pink characters as well.. Nice.
Looking good now!

Glad I could helpLooking good now!

Obviously my note on the top right corner of the graphic has a typo in it.
It is supposed to say "Increase to reduce the red shading on extremities" and "decrease for stronger SSS effect". Silly me...

Howdy!
Been playing with the TGX Wet again and I noticed (again, its been awhile
) that the script does not load the 'normal'.jpg's. I have to manually load them every time. Looking at the .poc files, I made sure the paths matched on the computer to what the script was looking for.
The files I have are dated 8/12/2014 and state Beta in the filename. I'm guessing the are the latest files, so any ideas?
Thanks,
Sam

Dear Sam,
back when the "original" RedSpec TGX Wet beta was released OctaneREnder wasn't able to render Bump and Normal maps in the same shader mix.
This was only implemented very recently, which made it possible for us to release TGX MK3 for G3F before Christmas in 2016.
All other shaders will receive free updates to include Normal and Bump maps in the shader mix, while TGX Wet Beta will receive a full fledged new shader disconnected from the skin shader setup.
We will reveal more about it as it becomes time and we have the necessary info ready for you guys.
Regarding TGX Wet Beta in its current form - as stated above it will receive an update to include normal and bumps. At this moment, please do understand though, that we're focusing on the skin shaders first.
We appreciate your patience
