Hi,
I need to create a swarm of flies that move. I use a standard Carrara replicator to replicate the fly. Updates fine in Carrara, but Octane does not render it. I have to click the rebuild button, then Octane updates and renders fine the movement of the original fly. (FYI: The original fly moves, but not the replicated ones.) Any ideas?
I use Octane 2.25.0086.
Best wishes,
Thomas

Hi,
Thank you Sighman, but that's not the way I want to have it. I've attached a new version of yours. Animating the replicator isn't what I need, because that way, all the objects go in the SAME DIRECTION. However, I just need to animate the ORIGINAL object. Then, I can create a swarm that goes around crazy
Please see the file attached.

Thank you. I know it, but I think, that pySwarm needs real objects and cannot replicate the objects. I can only create max 4 REAL objects and then replicate them to approx. 2000 objects. However, if I create 2000 REAL instances, this will be impossible to do.
Best wishes,
Thomas

You forgot to attach the file. (Make sure you zip it first. You cannot attach .car files directly.)tschwenke wrote:Hi,

Hi,
Open the file in Carrara, then open the Octane Render Window. Go to frame 24 and see the sphere move. Now click the "Rebuild Scene" button in the Octane Render window and see the magic happen
Is it clear now?
Best wishes,
Thomas

Hi,
I see, but please see here. I created a sphere moving around. It would impossible to create by moving the replicator itself
