Hey guys, I bet some of you run into a problem of Octane preparing an image while rendering in Picture Viewer for extremely long times? Is there any way to fix this issue? I have a file with ~ 5milion polygons and the preparing is quite long -
I also ended up with completely black screen in Picture Viewer at the end with this.
Here is the file so maybe you could recommend something https://www.dropbox.com/s/rpxozk9ya7fr3 ... s.c4d?dl=0
Octane insane "Preparing..." time. Help.

Did you checked the Console output?
After checking your scene there is lot unoptimised things:
1-You're using clones without "render instances" option. This causes true geometry instances and take much time to compile in renderer. Also spends much vram.
2-You have subdivisions: val=1 for editor, val=2 for renderer. LV uses editor data but PV accounts render data. This causes much more triangle count and compile time.
