Using octane with cinema 4D for a week now and i'm surprised how fast it is and i still use 1 card (gtx 770 4GB), Currently i'm testing landscape's with world machine, it's great. Still having some issues with texturing the terrain trying some seamless rock textures and mixing them together isn't easy or i'm doing it wrong. :P maybe i just need to texture it in world machine and push that in octane?

Thanks! World machine is great! There are some limitations though, you can't make caves for example or overlapping landscapes within world machine itself but it's awesome to make a base landscape and modify that in zbrush or something else. There is a demo version which only limits the resolution of the height map you export so maybe you should try that first.
