I can guess an answer.glimpse wrote:Will be interesting to try this out =)
curious, is that's just a test to see how things goes?
Is there any way we could expect this to be released sooner or later?
Yep. At least for now - it's just an R&D tool until we get the real thing:Rikk The Gaijin wrote:I can guess an answer.glimpse wrote:Will be interesting to try this out =)

I think this is just for testing purposes. You need both system, the HTC Vive and the Gear VR, which doesn't make sense for a mobile target platform. I think they used the Lighthouse sensors to try out what might be possible to achieve in the near future on a mobile device, but that's about it, it's nothing more than R&D.
Correct me if I'm wrong.
It will certainly happen in the near future, but not now. Phones are powerful, but not as powerful as they need to be to do that kind of tracking + running the game/app and keep you battery alive for more than 5 minutes...glimpse wrote:correct me if I'm wrong (as I do not understant a lot of those thigns at all), but Carmac mentioned something about possitinal tracking from phone itself.. let's see, maybe I'll find a tweet =) here it is
