Hi Does anyone know how much motion blur I need to give to a moving object? Let's say 1080 wide and it takes an object ten seconds to move from left to right
What is the proper amount of MB ? I wish octane had auto MB option that gives correct MB amount

PS Just cannot get rid of choppy horizontal movement/judder with or without MB

Thank you

This is mostly an artistic decision and there's no right or wrong answer. A motion blur amount of 1.0 means all motion during the frame will be captured/averaged for the blur. This is equivalent to a shutter speed of 1/24 if you're shooting at 24fps. Sometimes this is too blurry, so a good starting point would be 0.5, where half the motion is captured, giving you a good balance between sharpness and fluidity.
