Hi all !

I've started working on another scene : it's gonna be a living-room, but I needed to make it more lively by adding stuff like books and magazines.
So I modelled a bunch of them and just piled them up.

I just wanted to see what they'd look like, so I launched a render with Octane, and I was quite happy with the result.
I thought they looked nice, just on their own...

So here they are...
;)

UPDATE:
Here's the final scene - it's a shame we can't see the pile of magazines I'd been working on, but I don't really know where else I could have put them...

Although this is supposed to be a finished work (otherwise I would have put it in the WIPs), comments and crits are welcome !

Cheers to all,
:)

Bump on the wood is too strong. You could also easily create a bump map for the pages end of the book to add some more realism.

+2 Yes indeed.

But for larger view this kind of detail is good already

Thanks guys!
;)

Yes indeed, these books will be seen "from a distance", somewhere in a living-room.
Thanks also for the tip about adding some bump on the pages, I wouldn't have thought about it !!

Cheers,
:)

Indeed they look way too "rigid", like books, not like magazines.
But they're just for future integration in a whole scene, this detail will probably go unnoticed...
Thanks for your comment!
