Hi,
I'm not sure if my understanding of the 'matte' option in the diffuse shader is correct but I assumed it should work in a similar way to the native 'matte object' setting in object render properties... Having matte checked should make it invisible to the alpha channel right? (or is this simply a 'block colour' setting?)
I have matte checked in the material node but the object is still rendering in the alpha channel.
Any advice on this gratefully received.
Cheers

Essentially, it is a shadow catcher right now. I'm fairly certain that the Octane has our desire for ability to mask stuff on their short list.. They are on it. Maybe not in 2.0, but likely in 2.x...
