Hi there,

just did a couple of tests this weekend and noticed
that octane camera doesn't match footage when MB is on.
I did a quick auto track on syntheyes, which did a pretty job
with this shaky shot.
R2D2 object is Karl Stocker's one, cool object found on http://www.scifi3D.com

On this first shot both camera and object MB where on (50% + 4 passes for object MB)
You can clearly see R2 flying above the floor

On this one only camera MB was on, it's still shaky but it's better
it's mostly on the big vertical axis changes that things don't go well

On this one, all MB was off, and all is ok
NO MB.mp4

On this last one, it's just a basic LW render to check the camera

I'm using LW 11.5.1 with the last Beta

Hope this could be fixed, thanks a lot Juanjo

What is the frame rate of the sequence? ... I just fixed a bug that could break the MB at 24 or 30 fps.

can you please try to render the sequence with this build? ... you only need to replace the plugin file.

Anyway perhaps also the problem is the very simple shutter model supported by the plugin, that doesn't match the shutter model of your camera.

Hello Juanjo,

thanks for your fast answer,
framerate is 25 fps.
I'll give a try with the new build

Juanjo,

is it compatible with LW 11.5?

Thanks

Nope, this build is for 11.6 ... anyway at 25 fps your current build should works fine. Let me think about it. Perhaps you could send to me the scene to test it here.

I've had a bit of sliding in a shot recently that I passed off as bad tracking.....
But I'm not so sure...

If this is an issue...would it be affected by the default camera MB as well ?(not Multipass)

Just did a test....

Normal camera motion blur is not an issue...seems just the multipass (which i didnt test)

Juan,

sorry i did not answer sooner, i was a bit busy last days,
unfortunately the last build did the same thing.
i also did a test with multipass MB but with no object moving,
and the result is the same, a sliding that looks like
the camera movement is amplified when the shot is shaky.
I just sent you all the files by wetransfer, if you can take a look
Thanks a lot
