Hi,
This is one of my first projects rendered with Octane 1.22.
The quality of the images is low due to my low performance computer, but the client doesn't mind as long as he gets the feeling.
Be gentle with me but please criticise so i can improve my work in the future.

Nice renders! I would suggest adding textures to the books to add variety and realism, and also the couch in the last image looks too square with sharp edges.

thanks Daniel for your advice. The books had textures but didn't fit into the maximum number of textures so I removed them.
Couch is actually high poly model but yes it looks stiff. I'll search for a better model.

Can't you tweak the couch yourself?
Also, I know it's picky on the books and all, and I haven't tried it myself, but would it be possible to remove background textures off things that aren't directly affecting the illumination of the books, and then texture the books and composite the two images (textured books, and textured everything else) in Photoshop, GIMP, Paint.NET or anything else?

well, i could tweak the couch or even make another but i never have time enough for cosmetics.
It's the same with gathering multiple textures in one single image.
Illustration is only a short and pleasant faze in my work.I'm doing the best I can in the week dedicated.
