Hi,

Wrote a small export script for max since i couldnt find anything here.
Everything should work with a click of a button after setting your Octane.exe path

For now it exports the camera FOV and pos/target, maybe i`ll add more stuff later(lights etc).

Installation: Extract to max root folder and restart max, find the script in customize->category kilaD, use on toolbar/keyboard shortcut etc

Let me know if something is strange :)

Feel free to improve the script, and post it here if you do!

edit:

- new version (kilaD_Octane Export_0.42.rar)
- exports the sundirection if you have a light in the scene (use target direct or similar)
- fixed some bugs
- Disables Isoline display on turbosmooth modifiers. Works if you use 1 Turbosmooth per object
- Geometry memory usage thing
- Uses the frame size in max rendersettings
- Bugfix..
- And another..
- ......

Hi
Thank you so much...but I cannot get it to work
Maybe I am installing it badly
I copy folders to maxroot then open max -> customize -> Customize UI -> Category -> kilaD -> OctaneExport
Then I put the button in new toolbar and hit octaneExport but Runtime error about Export.bmp missing appears, both with first version and 0.2 version...
Any tips?
Thank you

Same thing doing a keyboard shortcut

Nice :)

Press the VFB-button after octane is finished rendering,
it then loads the image into the max framebuffer, so you can save it.

Looks great,
I can get it to export but it doesn't open Octane.
I've pointed the script to the octane directory too.
