Hi,
great news about this instances features !
Just a little question/problem:
Boris , sometimes ago, talked about a possible bug concerning the IPR Refresh with hair objs.
Here is a scene attached where the plane is 2-point-wire and it doesn't refresh either when moving/rotating or changing material properties.
As you can see, on this same scene, the polygonal cone is well refreshed...

Here the fibre model is refreshing fine when moving. This was never the issue. The issue was with deformable fibers. I am using 2.2.1.

strange, on my computer it doesn't refresh, even with the 'full update' option enabled... (using DAYLY Build 04-07/2014)BorisGoreta wrote:Here the fibre model is refreshing fine when moving. This was never the issue. The issue was with deformable fibers. I am using 2.2.1.

There is a build from 15.7. so VIPVIP might not have that one.

I have a hint that might help about that ineractivity bug. Even on the scene where editing Octane materials is very slow and unresponsive there is one thing that is always super fast: editing color of a surface with node network switched off. Please see image. This surface does not have Octane material applied but as I understand it internally it is converted to a diffuse Octane material. So if this is also Octane material why is it fast to change it's color, but for example on some other surface with node network on and also with a simple diffuse Octane material applied it is not ?

Boris and Juanjo: thanks for your help
I don't have the time to go further with this scene now but i'll have a deeper look after and will tell you if i find a solution.
It's very strange because this IPR-refreshing problem doesn't appear with all wire objects, only sometimes with specific scene/objects, apparently...

Juanjo,
will we jump directly to the 2.04 core for the next dayly build ?
Because Octane team introduce a new feature very interesting ( on the paper
): "GI Clamp" which authorise to reduce energy on hot points, and so reduce the caustics/fireflies effect,
Thanks
