Hi guys,

Just a quick note to say we're working hard on fixing all reported issues and we should be able to supply an RC2 tomorrow evening. (approx 20:00 central european time, tuesday)

Hi !

I have been very busy these past days, and I have only tested Octane in the few last minutes , but I Encountered the vertical stripes problem (I had the hope that it was only a display bug, but images are saved like that as well), and a weird thing with memory management : the memory load bar at the right bottom of the render window doesn't work, and the available amount of memory is always zero. Each time I move the mesh node in the graph editor, the used amount of memory increases : I got up to 2048 / 0 MB (I have actually 512 MB on my graphic card). Added to that there are weird square areas in a chess pattern on some parts of my car model used for the test.

I also forgot to say that Octane refuse to exit.

Those are great news. Thanks a lot Radiance. Another big plus of octane is indeed its support.

I'm very satisfied of support and follow up by the team, I really can't complain...just don't over do...you still somewhere human :D..

Great job guys and thank you for the hard hard hard work.

Hi all,

We're nearly done, we're still working on the strange blocky shading issue,
the other tasks are done.
We're having a bit of problems fixing it so it won't be for today.
let's make it tomorrow instead.

By the way can I have two different versions of octane installed on one machine or do I need to uninstall the previous version before installing a new one?

you can have all the version you pleased install, as long as they are in diferent folders, but even that is taking care of at install, cause it makes it's own folder with version number.
Right now I've got 1.21 and 1.22RC1 and run either or both at the same time testing things.
