[Unsupported] Blender plugin v1.12
I've opened a bug and talked with Campbell. It may take a few days for him to fix as he's pretty busy with fixing bmesh at the moment. I've documented the issue regarding UVs (this prevents all exports) and he will look at the normals stuff also.

excellent work. I will have a go at turning off the normals when I get home tonight. What exactly does the options do?

This could be important if you want to have your normals point a given direction. Although Octane seems to accommodate well when you don't (this is default setting when you export from wavefront plugin), there may be some side effects.
On a side note, if it doesn't affect your project, you can simply don't export them at all, this will speed up the export.
It also seems the UV system is completely broken, I saw another bug report about UV layout export...

I think I saw a TO DO in the committers mailing list for UV prior to the bmesh merge. I don't think it is done at all yet.
Bmesh will apparently break a lot of scripts and be slower...

Well, BMesh is a big feature. And it not yet in official build — they just start merging it. Such issues are appropriate.pixelrush wrote:I think I saw a TO DO in the committers mailing list for UV prior to the bmesh merge. I don't think it is done at all yet.![]()

Is this the lastest plugin for the official build or is there a newer one?

So as long as I use official blender I stick with 1.12?

No, use 1.13 with camera fix. 1.12 exports camera upside-down (actually is fault of blender code change, not exporter).Synthercat wrote:So as long as I use official blender I stick with 1.12?
