Yes - once 2020.1 is stable we will update this RTX benchmark app (still keeping it separate from normal OctaneBench). We plan to merge RTX officially in OctaneBench after Octane 2020.2 is stable.

What is "normal" then - 4.00?

Will 2x 2080 cards result in a siginificant difference over 1x 2080 TI when rendering octane scenes?

Is there a certain driver version I need to be using to get RTX enabled in the benchmark? I have 4x2080ti and am on the very latest version but benchmark isn't showing any cards as RTX. It's doing this on all three new 2080ti builds I've done that I'm trying to benchmark

Hi,
you need a Nvidia driver greater than 435.80 under Windows.
Which driver have you installed?
Please, download and run GPU-Z:
https://www.techpowerup.com/gpuz/
And share a screenshot from the Graphics Card tab, for all the available Nvidia GPUs, thanks:

hey @bepe4d. Here is a screenshot of GPU-Z as well as octanebench showing no RTX option. I'm on driver 451.77. I"m running 2 2080ti in this specific machine (same exact cards and GPU-Z screen is identical for both) Is there a newer version of octanebench I should be downloading (this one says RTX at startup)? I remember having this same problem at the end of last year but can't recall what the issue was.

Hi,
I have just tried, and it seems that OctaneBench RTX 2019 is not working anymore with recent Nvidia driver:

A lot of things have changed during this time, so we definitely need an updated version of Octanebench, but RTX acceleration is working correctly in 2020.1.4.

well that would make sense why I couldn't get it to work in benchmark  Hopefully OctaneBench will get updated soon. And yeah, RTX seems to work fine in the renderer itself
