hello ahmet,
thanks a lot for your hard work and the new build.

i installed it yesterday and unfortunatley i had the same "network-render-performance-problem" with the new build:

it takes an increddible long time until my renderclients starts rendering a scene. so the sceneexport and distribution to the clients is much much slower than in V 3.07.
all clients ( 2) and the workstation running Win 10 Pro, C4D R19 ( with the latest service-pack)

does anyone else the same issue with netrendering ( live-viewer and picturemanager)?

thanks in advance
oli

Yeah - thanks Ahmed for this build. I appreciate very much your great work!

I am very excited that the issues with network rendering are fixed now. But as Oli said above is same here: it takes way longer for transmitting data to clients than in older versions.
Should Minimize net traffic switched on again? That caused some trouble in last build.

I'm using a simple Dirt Map in the Roughness Channel with Triplanar Mapping and if I change a value the "Material generate" Part takes like 5-10 Seconds.
I'm using R19.
Can you provide a scene to check? I don't see this issue on my tests.

miohn wrote:Hi Ahmet,

with this new Version 3.08 RC1 I cannot navigate (within a simple start scene)
when live viewer is running.
It lags like hell.

I'm on Win 7 64.
With 3.07 and nvidia driver 9077 it runs smooth.

Think I have to go back to 3.07.

O.K. seams that my start scene "new" was not working anymore with 3.08 RC1
Don't know why, but after saving a new one now its working like before.

Not solved!!!!!!
When inside an octane camera LV hangs. I cannot navigate in viewport.
When leaving the octane camera and looking through standard camera its working!

Thats really strange!

Ahmet,

could you please check this:
when activating "camera imager" in the camera tag, it starts hanging
and behaving totally corious.

thanks
regards
Mike
Hi Mike,
I don't have any lags or issues as like this. I'm working with one 1070 and win7, 391.01. What's gpu setup and driver?

Hi Ahmet,

I have 2 x Titan X (P) and 1 x 1080 Ti
and nvidia driver 3.9077 which worked well with my setup (Win 7 64) so far.

In 3.07 I definately don't have this problem, when activating "camera imager"

Will Win 7 64 work with the newest nvidia drivers?

Really don't like to make changes, because on my slave with Win 10 it was a nightmare
until I found out, that only 3.8813 drivers are working.

regards
Mike

Btw: Node Editor also behaves really slow in my case!

It shall be opposite of what you said. Because i made some fixes there to avoid possible crashes and improvements on preview calculations. Send me a PM if you mind me check via TeamViewer.

Hi Ahmet,

so do you think it could be a driver problem?

Atm I cannot test because I'm rendering a project.

I run 4X1080 Ti on Windows 10 and I have Watchdogs violations. (with 388.13 or more)

I need to downgrade to 382.53. But I can't use the latest octane version. Anyone with a stable driver on windows 10 ?

What a pain..

Win 10 Pro

16299.248

I'm looking for a stable Nvidia Driver to run my 4 1080Ti with octane without bluescreen alert "WatchDog violations".
