I use the new octane render and this plugin. Unfortunately i get the wrong object exported: if i export a cube, then there is displayed the cube but with one wrong edge. It's strange. What could be the problem?

Cheers, Stephan.

What does mean "with one wrong edge"? Post a screenshot of Blender viewport & Octane viewport.

I'm not sure that Lionel is around. I've not heard anything from him for ages. Maybe he has been beavering away on version 1.11.

I don´t know, but i think that the blender plugin change nothing on the geometry.
You can try to export without the plugin and load the obj direct in Octane. If the error occurs, it have an other background.

I attached an image of the problem. The geometry is wrong, in blender it is a cube, the initial cube of blender. The result is seen in the attachement.
Additional i created the object file with the obj-exporter addon. The problem ist almost the same: the cube is changed, but not the same then in the export script. And the cube is black, not material etc.

Therefore there should be a problem in the exporter script i think. Do you have same problems in ubuntu 11.04?

Looks like you have a flipped normal but I don't know how you would have done it.

I recalculated the normals and made "remove duplicates" (no duplicated vertex was found), but i get the same result. It is strange. The windows of octane are in wrong positions as well, perhaps there is a relationsship beetween this problems. Can i reset octane? I cannot find a configuration file.

Greatings, Stephan.
