As far as I know it is a bug in Daz Studio Pro BETA - version 4.9.0.44.face_off wrote:Quick question....
How do I get DAZStudio to NOT merge a File->Open Recent into my current scene? Is this a DAZStudio bug, or intended functionality? If I load a scene, the previous scene is not unloaded - so the two scenes are merged. DS4.9.

Some users reported it in the DAZ Studio BETA thread:

The issue may have been resolved in private build 4.9.0.46

The intended way to merge scenes is to use
- File / Merge
- - -
- File / Open
- File / Open recent
normally should delete all content in the scene.
Possible workaround:
- Use File "New" to clear the scene.
- then use "open recent"

Access to private builds for developers?
Guess normal customers can do nothing but to wait for the next DAZ Studio public beta build.
Maybe as a developer you can ask DAZ3D to get access to private beta builds as well?
There is an option in the DIM (Download and Install Manager) to display and download Private builds as well.
But I guess the private builds only show up when DAZ3D makes them available for your DAZ3D account.
