There was an issue with the AC18 plugin installer preventing the Scale Texturemaps dialog from opening. This is now fixed, so you can re-download and install the AC18 installer at the top of this thread.

Hi,
I have already the 2.23.2.48, but the Problem with hatches haven´t gone
I work with two screens. Put your Octane plugin to the right, let the whole ArchiCAD-window on the left. You don´t need any Octane viewport for a crash, you have to select only a hatch in AC. If I put the Plugin-window "onto" the ArchiCAD-window, than it works, I can select the hatch without crash.

Graphisoft have provided more information on this issue and given me a much better way to handle this situation - which will be in the next release and a few days time.

Hi,
the solution with mesh+placement+geometry_out seems to work! Hurray!
I have another suggestion or wish about that.
The Proxies can follow all of the transportation-operations in AC. You can rotate, and you can lift them. The only thing doesn´t work is the mirroring.
Look at this:

The orange AC-Object is the mirroring of the green one. I should set two different OCS/OBRX to get the same result in Octane (with different placement, see the next pic).

Perhaps there is a solution to get rid of duplicated files and libraries:
- The Plugin checks if the SYMB_MIRRORED value true or false.
- If it´s false, than the sun is shining.
- If it´s true, than set a placement with S.X: -1.000. If a placement exists, than it should be an additional placement. I have checked, the AC didn´t have any problems with that.

Is it possible? Than you have solved all positioning issues in AC.

The only thing doesn´t work is the mirroring.

I have refreshed the installers at the top of this thread with:

2.23.2.49
- Various changes to the "Missing File" search dialog. The title of the Folder Selection dialog displays the missing filename
- Proxy host Objects with "Mirror Library Part" ticked will now be flipped in the X axis (ie. the X Scale will be multipled by -1)

Hi,
I was glad to see the mirroring! And I like really the missing object tool!!

Today I have a "little" GDL scripting issue. I´m programming my AC-placeholder-Object further. I would change the Value of the Octane-Parameters by Model View Options (MVO) as well. Unfortunately it´s not possible, because the Parameter-Script runs only if you are editing the AC-Object, it means, that you don´t have a chance to change Parameter-Values only by MVO.

Why do I need it? I tell you an example, where I would play with the "OctaneProxy_Obj" Parameter a bit.

If I would use my placeholders on another computer or in other offices, than I have to set the new path of "OctaneProxy_Obj" in every OCS/ORBX/OBJ file. I could change it with MVO, every AC-placeholder requests the path from MVO.
However, this requesting changes only the Variable-Value, not the Parameter-Value, it can be different.
This is not the only reason, why I want to do that, but maybe reasonable as for example changing the Season of all trees with one click.

I can imagine two solutions, both of them are over my knowlegde.
- Could the OctanePlugin search for a local Variable instead of a Parameter? A Parameter turns to a local variable during the script, doesn´t it?
- If it is not possible, than I should tinker an Add-On to change Parameter-Values in the AC-Objects, which contains Octane Parameters.

Is this Variable/Parameter-thing reasonable? Possible

Are you wanting to do this to use different level-of-detail OBJ for your proxies, or are you doing it to set the local of the proxies? If it is the latter, what about if there was a DOS environment variable you could set which specified the search path. Or, if you can specify the OBJ file location RELATIVE to the .pln fle location? (ie. the OBJ files might be in the same folder as the .pln file, so would be .\MyObjFile.obj).

2.23.2.50
- Fixed issue where saving all Proxy materials to defaults was not working
- Added "Run All GDL Scripts" to the Setting tab. This allows any GDL scripts which derive their values from parameter to be recalculated. You must be in a 2d view to run this command, and the Viewport will ned to be refresh after in order for any proxies with OctaneProxy_AlwaysUseParameters set to recreate all the proxies from parameters. This functionality is experimental at this stage, so may not be 100% functional.

- Fixed crash resulting from activating an already activated plugin
- The "Export All Assets" function now displays the warning at the start of the process rather than the end, and gives the user the option to exit
- Missing Texturemaps are now automatically linked to the previous search path if they are present in that path
- Fixed issue where the plugin would re-cache materials when an ArchiCAD element was selected with no materials
- Added ArchiCAD 19 support, and removed support for ArchiCAD 16
