Is it just me or does the post processing not actually post process? More like during processing rather than post processing. Same goes for all the other useful features such as hot pixel removal.

Great work.

But, I don't understand how to make camera motionblur realistic. Because it does not take the moving of camera into account.

Thanks
Ahhh, that would explain why it was not working for me last night. I'd animated the camera but I got no motion blur. It seemed easier to animate the camera than to animate everything else.

Hi again.

Can somebody tell me how to change rotation of HDRi map in new OctaneRender™ for Blender 1.33 - 4.0 beta Win? In old version it was in World panel.

Thanks

Hi tomas_p, I haven't tried myself, but I found these answers with the search feature :
I think there is something wrong with octane rotation transform node when using HDRI maps. How is it possible to rotate the HDRI map in horizontal?

Hi, try using Translation Transform instead of Rotation. It works for me.
For environment rotation use texture translation along x.
@ steveps3 : Camera motion blur depends on the shutter interval value. Small values give less motion blur.

This said, I reported several times in different sections of the 1.36 version that I get a shaky camera from alembic exports. I also noticed that scrolling the shutter value with the mouse wheel in Octane animation render panel shows a jitter in the 3D viewport. More noticeable for low shutter value. It is like a noise added by the camera motion blur. I got no answer so far in any thread about this very anoying problem.

Philippe.

Nah ... Blender always is built with that 2008 Redistributable it seems, it's not Jims issue. The Blender peeps know that as well. The reasons so many don't have the issue is because that Redistributable is needed by other things and might have been already installed ... so you see no error.

Not that it's a showstopper, just pointing out.
Just pointing out: if you "never had problems" with it - it does not mean that Blender built with all features enabled does not need 2008 redistributable. It just means that either you have built it with some features disabled, of just had redistributable installed before.
So, one more time: ask the Blender developers about it. I can't rework Blender itself, I work on the plugin only. If I'm forced to change something in Blender itself - it is only bound to this plugin functionality...
At this time - Blender is even not able to be fully built under MSVC 2010 or newer... Only in 2008... And sorry - I can't spend the work-time to rework this.

Just for info, Blender builds with MSVC 2013 since a few month, all libs are in git.
Blender devs will change to MSVC 2013 for Blender 2.71.
2.70 is ready this week, so in two months we up to date. :)

If somebody like to test it:

Not for all features, people just experiment with it so far, and experiments - is not purpose of this plugin. Current for this plugin 2.69 is not able to be built on 2013 with all features which users start to ask here after I released the versions without them before...
So, this plugin just follows the Blender development, not goes ahead of it. After the newer MSVC version will be fully and without problems supported - this plugin will migrate to it too.
