Actually, knowing what I know about Radiance from the past, just the opposite will be true. When he has customers who have paid and are waiting, he will feel more pressure than if no one has paid. He is the kind of guy who will redouble his efforts for those who believe in him. And we are the kind of customers who wouldn't ask. :)

Radiance: At the end of the purchase process the 'Return to Refractive Software' link is broken. A small matter, but thought you might like to know.

Hi Radiance

When you press the button to make payment and is redirected to the PayPal site to identify itself, there is a security problem because although it is an https encrypted page, part of the site is not. The problem is that Octane's logo comes from an http address.
Browsers tell the user that the page is not secure because a part is not encrypted and the user don't know what part of that page is not secure and can't trust it.

I have made the payment after checking that part was not encrypted, but some people will not.

I hope I was helpful.

Greetings

Hi,

I'll look into this, you can rest assured that the payment system is safe, it's just the logo that's loaded from a non-https link, i'll correct that.

Yours,
Radiance

Hi,

I just want to thank everyone who's already purchased the beta license.

I'm having difficulty keeping up with replying to emails at this rate. :)

If things keep going at this rate, we'll be able to expand our company with more resources, hardware, developers and other people very soon,
and octane render will skyrocket in terms of development speed and features.

Thanks again,
Radiance

You might want to watch out. I've seen a few companies sink because they expanded too fast. And I'd hate to see refractive sink, you make one hell of a raytracer.
