when using procedurals for bump, you need to set the power very very small, eg 0.1 or less even 0.01.

Thanks...made a difference.

A request....and I'm sure you have so, so many already:-) Any chance of a few additional noises? Also it would be great to have a 2(or more) color ramp with X, Y and Z and fall-off capability. A saw wave almost does this but not quite.

you'll have to wait for 2.3 for those, we need to finish 2.2 now.

Hi all,

Thanks for reporting these last issues.
We've fixed them, there's only 2 minor things left and we will release the final 2.2 commercial version tomorrow.

Yours,

It is right that Octane use 100% of cpu-load while it renders?
Respectively 25% on a quadcore...
Idle 10-14% (quad)
Testet with RC1+3.

Rendering maybe ok, but 14% on idle?
Softimage use 3% (quad) and it waits, to send the next frame to Octane.

Hi all,

We have finally done fixing bugs.
node graph is stable now, no connection/disconnection issues.

We'll be posting the 2.2 final later today.
