Thanks Rappet. I like MSI. Hope you get lots of joy out of those babies.rappet wrote:Hi Seeker,Seekerfinder wrote:Rappet,
I may have missed this between the various threads but which manufacturer's Z did you get? And, if you din't mind, for what price?

The TitanZ is MSI. I did not purchase the TitanZ seperately,
but it was a temporarily offer of a Battlebox system just before they were gonna drop down the price of the TitanZ. The basic system was offered for 3.5K.. when calculating down (by downgrading the GPU in that basic system and subtract the regular price of that downgrade GPU) I paid appr 1300-1400 Euro. I gotfor a second when I saw the dropdown in price of TitanZ after my purchase, but then I
still had a good deal and I was planning a new machine anyway

Did you guys take a good look at the photo and did you notice how big this case is?
Also the GPU's are enormous.. you could need some climbing gear to get to the top

Yes, it's large. But I am thinking about additional pedestal for my dreams: 4xTiatans Z, that would increase the height up to 1 meter

Hi Rappet,
Wow lots to go through...will have another read in the morning when not so tired.
My new system arrived today (Haswell-E 8 Core + 2 X Titan Z's Gigabyte in yep, a Cosmos 2 Case - such an awesome case )
Win 8 has been a learning curve.
I have run test renders with SLI Enabled and Disabled - didn't see much difference. - 13.25 Ms/sec with SLI on the Benchmark Test
The big thing I will need to look at tomorrow relates to this:
"Octane and also in the tweaking software sees the TitanZ as two GPU's seperetaly" - Need to get them thinking like 4 GPU's if it can be done.
Any thoughts or questions let me now.

Hi Laticis,
Congratz with your build... Nice!!!
Line your avatar btw
What do you mean with "Need to get them thinking like 4 GPU's if it can be done."?
octane will see your two TitanZ's as 4 seperately GPU without a doubt, not?
Have fun.

Oh cool, thanks Smicha. From what I read I was expecting that.
Otoy states:
"Does Octane Render take advantage of SLI?
No, but it can use multiple video cards for rendering (see above). It is also recommended to disable the SLI option in your Nvidia control panel to maximize Octane's rendering performance."
I can disable the 2 x GPU SLI easy enough but what about about each Titan Z - is their manufacture basically an internal SLI ?
