There are no layers, it's just one black layer. :?

Can you show those noise passes? You should only use them when you get final render quality.
First of all, I thought that in a Physically-based render, Specular and Reflection were the same. So that confuses me... :?
Anyway, I cannot show them publicly, so I'll send you a PM with the images.

I keep getting crashes, this version is very unstable, plus the insane loading time is killing me... :(
Can you elaborate a bit on the crashes? Is it Octane crashing itself or hanging?

I sent you a PM with the link to the scene, please tell me when you have it, so I can delete it (my Dropbox it's nearly full), thank you.

We just tested with your scene but we cannot reproduce the problem. Here it takes around ~15 seconds. Are you loading this from a network drive? What OS are you using? We also don't see any significant difference between 2.06 and 2.10.

cheers,

Mmmm, I did some more test. It appears that if I load the packed .orbx file (the one I sent you) it loads fast.
The regular .ocs scene takes nearly 4 minutes to load, and all the files are on my local hard drive, plus as I said before, the same scene loads fast in 2.06.
Is there a way that you can unpack the .orbx, save it as regular .ocs and try with that?

I unpacked the orbx file and save it as ocs. When I load the ocs, it takes 4 minutes to open.
Can you confirm the same behavior?

EDIT: actually, the scene CRASHED on loading, it didn't open. :o

Awesome. lots of new features to work with. The Lua SDK should prove very useful in plugin development and conversion of some interesting plugins to octane.

Ok, thanks. It's the new version of the toolkit we use. Should be fixable.

That's very strange, Rikk. Did you install the newest nvidia driver? I got just one crash only while loading very large scene, but besides it's rock solid. And yes - for larger scenes the loading time is longer.
