I use dozens of scatter nodes in a scene and to update them I have to refresh one by one... or reload the scene which is also time consuming.

Is there a way to save your render with the background image you set? All save options ignore the background image.
Just as a convenience. Maybe the "keep environment" option could be used for this. If a background image is set, save with it, else, save with the hdri/sun.
