Would love to see this... please let me know how close this is to reality:

In my DAZ Studio plugin (or integrated renderer), there is a button entitled "Render in Cloud ($1.25)" - which works for scenes and, especially, animation.

(I would want to not wait a few hours locally when I could get my whole animation sequence back in a couple of minutes by spending a few dollars).

And the ease of clicking... [Confirm, render to cloud for $#.##] would be awesome.

Hi there!

The Cloud Edition will be released only as a service provided by Otoy, or will there be a 3rd party plugin wich will help us create our own offline rendrfarm, in case of a studio for example. The service will come very helpfull for many companies, but a standalone renderfarm on GPUs will be extraordinary for some of us.

Best regards!

The pricing of the service is announced at a maximum of $1/GPU hour, with 4-128 GPUs per user on demand. The cost may be lower during non-peak hours.
The service will initially be available in the US only during the beta period (starting in July) with international support planned for later this year
I think it will be Great!!
We are in July,so,What day of July please ?
Will this be available to all Octane Render users for the plugins ? like 3dsmax one ?
Please send us some fresher News.
Awful silence in the other side of the line.
Count me in.

I am wondering the same thing. Could someone give us a update on the rollout. Many loyal users are holding off hardware decisions based on this new service so some type of updated time-frame on it's release would be appreciated by all of us. Thanks!

Right now we're testing with a limited group of users in Southern California. We're planning to broaden the beta to cover all US users in about 6-8 weeks, EU by the end of the year, with pricing still along the lines we announced before. There will be a more formal announcement at SIGGRAPH this month, coinciding with some new Octane features that we've been waiting on before pushing the cloud service out widely.
