the amount of crashes with ipr and material editor and lost work i have had as a result is absolutely ridiculous.
i have to save each few minutes and have multiple iterations of a scene when doing changes.
i tried to pause it while tweaking, but then when i restart the ipr, still get random crashes.
i try not to be negative and understanding but jesus christ.
i also apologise for an unhelpful post like this, but really dont know what else to say.
love octane and the unprecedented quality of the renderer, i am just so tired of it.

Well thanks! But how to estimate bug hunting without sharing the info/scene/bugreport/steps/etc...?crackfox wrote:3.08 r2

I'll try and screen grab from now on in-case it will help. Usually when it crashes, it doesn't generate bug report which is tough.
i recognized a lot of errors ( cuda-errors) even with following combination:
octane 3.07 and Nvidia 391.35
so for testing purposes i switch back the display-driver to 388.59 which works pretty much "error-free" the last months.

I believe that latest drivers are big headache me too. I've tried a lot of clean reinstall. I had got many crashes frequently even without C4D open. Finally i made a clean install in safe mode with 391.24 and now i feel it's better.useruser wrote:i recognized a lot of errors ( cuda-errors) even with following combination:
